Johnson’s Farm Photo Policy 2022

We welcome those who wish to use Johnson’s Farm as a backdrop/setting for any portrait/commercial photography, even if the photographer is not compensated, financially or otherwise. Anyone not using an iPhone to take photos will need to turn in a signed waiver and pay the photographer fee online upon arrival! 

We accept photos from April-October! However, we DO NOT accept photography weekends in MAY and nights of events! Please contact us at [email protected] to make sure the day is set before arriving!  

Please read this information carefully and completely. We ask that professional photographers cooperate on the following manner:

PRIOR TO PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONS:

• Purchase a photographers Pass:
  1. 2022 Annual Pass is $125, must be purchase below! This covers each admissions attendance of the ONE photographer with the given lanyard. Other photographer’s assistants and clients MUST purchase admissions to whatever event we have going on! This pass is valid for photography sessions only and not for Fun Farm Festival admission on other visits. 
  2. 2022 Single-Day Pass is $75, must be purchase below! Covers only the named photographer, and is good for one day only during the 2022 season! Clients are expected to purchase admissions to whatever event. 
• Provide us a notice at least 48 hours ahead of your session by emailing [email protected]with the following information. The waiver is due AT LEAST 24 hours before your shoot. You can email it to [email protected]
  1. Your name (must match the name on Photographers Season Pass and on a Valid ID)
  2. Your phone number
  3. Date and time of upcoming photography session
  4. Number of people in the party-including yourself, any assistants, and your clients 
• Make sure you confirm our receipt of the information above. Because we are so busy and email delivery can sometimes be unreliable, please call our Events and Group Coordinator at 219-926-1383 ext 4. If you do not receive a reply to your email 24 hours prior to your session. 
• Festival admissions is required for everyone in a photography party. Your photographers season pass covers YOUR admissions for those sessions. Your staff/assistants as well as clients must purchase festival admissions! 
• Please note that, for the comfort and safety of all our guests, pets are not allowed at Johnson’s Farm. Trained service animals are, of course, warmly welcomed. 
• Aside from simply sharing social media posts by Johnson’s Farm Produce, please do not promote any of our special events, character appearances, or sales as a way to promote your photography sessions. This is to maintain the integrity of our offerings and allow for changes due to weather, illness or other reasons! 

ARRIVIAL FOR PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONS:

• Make sure your clients have your cell phone so they can contact you upon their arrival
• Photography sessions may occur during business hours only. Hours are stated daily on our website. Please contact us with any questions. 
• Make sure you have the Photography Agreement Waiver printed, filled out, and TURNED IN BEFORE THE DAY OF YOUR SHOOT! You can find this form at www.johnsonsfarmproduce.com
• Check in to the Cashiers (during greenhouse season) or to admissions booth (during summer and festival season)! Upon presentation of your valid ID, we will issue you a photographers identification lanyard. The lanyard must be returned to admissions at the end of each visit. 
• If not purchased ahead of time online and form below not brought filled out upon arrival, you will not be able to go on with your photoshoot which will lead to unhappy clients. 

DURING PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONS:

• Photography is welcome to any public area of Johnson’s Farm that is open during that day. Please do not enter any areas marked NO ACCESS, do not enter or areas with working farm equipment. 
• Please respect the natural environment and the crops we are growing. Use care and caution around landscaping. 
• Photography sessions must be finished by closing time each day. Hours are stated on our website and change throughout the season. Please contact us with any questions
• Any produce, flowers, pumpkins, etc. are not included in the cost of the Photographers season pass 
• The use of drones is strictly prohibited
• No public areas may be closed or blocked off to customers during a photo shoot. A photographers Season Pass does not offer exclusive access to any part of the property
• Please keep a close eye on your equipment and property. Johnson’s Farm assumes no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to any equipment or belongings. 

AFTER PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONS:

• Please return your lanyard to Admissions or the Cashiers at the end of each visit. Should you forget to do so, please call us immediately (219-962-1383 ext.4) upon realization so that we know it is in your possession
• Clients who paid the admissions to get in are free to stay during the remainder of the day to enjoy our Festival
• Professional photographers posting their work from Johnson’s Farm on social media must identify each photo as being taken at Johnson’s Farm and tagged @johnsonsfarmproduce 
• Any online photo galleries or images should be shared with us through email at [email protected]
• Johnson’s Farm has the right to use, with proper attribution to you, any photos posted online.
